Justin was born and raised in McAllen located deep in South Texas also known as the Rio Grande Valley. Growing up in a family-owned construction company led to his successful career with a national footprint in the building materials industry. He has traveled and resided all over the United States managing territories on both the East and West coasts. Justin relocated back to Texas in 2006 and has called San Antonio home ever since.
Having an entrepreneur spirit and with enforcement of the Affordable Care Act legislation, Justin launched Texas State Financial & Health in July of 2013 to help clients in San Antonio and South Texas with their Health Insurance and Group Benefits needs.
The Affordable Care Act (“Obama Care”) was just gearing up and it was very important for every individual and business owner to know what to expect with the largest piece of legislation the United States had ever passed at the time. Texas State Financial and Health has been protecting thousands of families and businesses with health insurance, life insurance and employee benefits ever since opening its doors. The focus of the brokerage has been serving individuals and businesses that are often overlooked while also investing in and utilizing cutting edge benefits software/marketing platforms.
During the Summer of 2020, Justin began talks with local insurance executive, Buddy Morris. On August 1, 2020, Justin merged his growing brokerage with Spire Risk Management, LLC. This merger allowed Justin to provide existing clients with an in-house employee benefits division while continuing to engage new business clients. He is also managing and growing the company’s individual health insurance and Medicare business, Texas State Insurance Services, LLC.
Justin is the proud father of his daughter, Shelby, and son, Jacob. Married in 2008, his wife, Barbara is a very talented, local graphic designer.
